Pilgrimage Church Maria Hilf Fuchsmühl

Highlight • Religious Site

The pilgrimage church of Our Lady of Fuchsmühl is visible from afar. It is a hall building with a double-tower façade, built between 1712 and 1726.
The Fuchsmühl landowner of Froschheim had a copy of the Passau image of Mary Help of Christians erected in 1688. The large number of visitors to this church required the construction of the pilgrimage church of Our Lady as early as 1712. The tall rectangular building, without a separate choir and with narrow cross arms, has unusually low towers. The temporary roofs, which were put on after a fire, cannot be replaced because the church façade was incorporated into the municipal coat of arms. The pilgrimage chapel from 1688 is connected to the penultimate northern nave bay. The high altar from 1700 was acquired in 1885 from the Deutschherrenkirche in Regensburg. The altarpiece is by Oswald Onghers.

Reuth Castle

Highlight • Castle

The castle was first mentioned in 1337 as a property of the Trautenberg family. The property passed to Georg Friedrich von Unruh through marriage in 1602 and passed to the related Sparnecker family. The castle brewery was founded in 1742 during the time of the von Sparneck family in Reuth (1628-1744). From the tradition of brewing rights in the form of a house brewery, a commercial operation was established in 1742. The barons of Reitzenstein bought the Hofmark Reuth in 1772 and exercised land ownership and jurisdiction until 1848.

May 10, 2024,Äktschn Grufties: Auf verkürztem Steinwaldrundweg (10.05.2024)
Another relaxed tour on the Steinwald cycle path, which we took a shorter cut. Unfortunately, the planned stop in Zainhammer fell through because the restaurant was closed; it was obviously being renovated.

In the group were Armin, Ed, Hans-Jürgen, Günter and Peter, who had to turn back during the warm-up phase because of a total "power failure" - that can't …

Today as a couple on the Steinwaldradweg. It was a wonderful tour. There's really nothing more to say. If everything is right, the pictures speak for themselves 👍🏻
