At this great view of Lake Partwitz you will find a small covered picnic bench. Like most of the lakes in the Lusatian Lakeland, the wonderfully turquoise Partwitzer See is a result of the former opencast mine. It came into being by flooding the Scado opencast mine in 2015 and was released for use in 2019 after treatment with a suitable boat to lower the pH. Today animals and plants settle here and there is a beautiful local recreation area.
