The gorge remains unnoticed by the masses. What a pity.

The Marienbrücke is the most popular viewpoint of Neuschwanstein Castle. Hundreds of people usually crowd here, taking pictures, posing, and enjoying the fabulous view. This is also the most famous photo spot around the castle with a fantastic view of the castle, its location, and with a view of the flat hilly landscape behind it.

Best-known postcard motif in Germany? At least close! It can be crowded here, but a visit to the extravagant and beautiful castle definitely pays off.

June 24, 2023,Wanderung zur Marienbrücke
The ascent to the Marienbrücke after leaving the paved path was very steep, good shoes are recommended in wet weather. Lots of roots and some loose rock. Waiting time at the Marienbrücke, restricted access, see photos.
On the way to the castle there is a beautiful vantage point with a view of the foothills of the Alps with Alpsee and …

I would have liked to have looked at the castle from the inside unfortunately we were too late so it was already closed

The weather forecast predicted a lot of rain 🌧️ today. I really lacked 🐕 the motivation for a longer day trip. Swimming 💦 in a lake or a stream, I'm always up for that. But my fur doesn't like rain from above at all.
So we thought we'd visit the number 1 tourist destination - off to Neuschwanstein Castle.

Third hike of the day! Unfortunately we were too late, the castle was already closed

Short stopover in Schwangau with a short tour up to Neuschwarnstein Castle. Challenging ascent is rewarded with a great view of the castle from the Marienbrücke. Way back as a recommendation through the forest, not so many tourists and positive energy from the forest.

Went on a lovely hike around Neuschwanstein Castle with friends. Highly recommended😎

We didn't take the main path, but rather steeply up through the forest to the Marienbrücke. Deserted route. The view from the bridge of Neuschwanstein Castle is unique.

A little hiking trip to the fairytale castle of King 👑 Ludwig.
Unfortunately I forgot to start the recording right from the parking lot [10k fee].
There was a lot going on, unfortunately since 2020 you can only enter the schoolyard with an admission ticket. The way to the Marienblücke is worthwhile. The view 🏞 🏰 is simply wonderful.
