I started again today in (light) rain. It stayed dry later. I've been wanting to do this little loop for a while. I've only seen the monastery ruins from the other side several times before, for example, from the top of Calmont.
Nice loop with too much tarmac.

The visit to the young couple Franzen (cultivation on / around Calmontsteig) was followed by an attractive hike to the ruins of the Stuben monastery. You can see the hikers on the Calmontsteig on the opposite side of the Moselle and you are happy again that you walked up there.

The views of the Moselle are so fascinating that they should be shared ;-) . At sunset we went again to the Petersberg. Again fascinating views and very few people on the mountain. Recommended.

The Moselle shows itself in all its facets. This quiet hike leads over numerous steps, past charming old houses and through idyllic vineyards. At the ruin, there was also a wonderful exhibition by an 11th grade class to admire, which perfectly matched the great views.
