Rakotzbrücke and Azalea and Rhododendron Park Kromlau

200 h large landscape park of the Kromlau estate, planned from 1844 in the sense/style of Romanticism with native and foreign trees; With the help of basalt stones from quarries in Saxon Switzerland and Bohemia, caves, grottos and pyramids were created, here e.g. the judge's seat (pulpit), the organ, heaven and hell and the Rakotz Bridge (Rakotz = Sorbian for cancer / popularly also Devil's Bridge); whose semicircle is reflected in the lake and forms a complete circle;

From 1893 the horticultural inspector Georg Eichler began to plant rhododendrons and outdoor azaleas on a larger scale, which should contribute to the harmonious appearance of the park;

Also worth seeing is the baroque Old Castle Kromlau (today a residential building) and the Kavaliershaus opposite; Kromlau is a terminus of the Muskau Forest Railway;
