The rain ☔️ and the mud 💨 were constant companions today.

The trees hurled leaves and twigs at me, and mud and mire clung to my shoes with a squelching sound, trying to hold me fast.

Dodging them was pretty futile, as loose stones, twigs, and mud puddles were hidden beneath a colorful blanket of leaves.
