August 26, 2025,Nagoldtalweg mit Abstecher nach Inselshausen
Nagoldtalweg from Iselshausen with my friend Kurt Volz. Unfortunately, there were a few Komoot crashes. In reality, with a few detours, it was just under 65 km and an average speed of 19.8 km/h. There were a few detours in Wildberg and shortly before Bad Liebenzell. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful day of cycling in glorious sunshine.

A bike ride from @Ela´s Touren🌻🚲🥾🕶️🏔💝🇺🇦 inspired me to take another ride through the Nagold Valley.
After an hour's train ride, we arrived in Hochdorf with the Rechtbenefit ticket in our pockets and started while the temperatures were still quite cool. The pretty town of Nagold can be reached quickly and there was a delicious refreshment here ☕🌭🥧

- either do nothing
- or start early and ride in the shade

I decided to do the latter today and chose the ideal Nagoldtal cycle path.
The starting point is a bit above, in Hochdorf (near Horb), because the Steinachtal above the town of Nagold …

Carpe Diem: "Pick the Day"

often also translated as "seize the day" or "seize the day".

This title was stolen from a campsite on the Nagoldtal cycle path between Nagold and Pforzheim.
We actually did that and "picked" the nice weather and the wonderful bike path along the river.

At 9 a.m. we, the 14 cyclists, started in Altensteig and headed towards Nagold, where we looked at the city park. We then took a first break in the Schäferlaufstadt Wildberg in the beer garden Gasthof/Hotel Krone. Passing the Bad Teinach-Neubulach train station, we reached Calw and its beautiful city center. We didn't take a break, but continued to Hirsau …

Today we started the first leg of our tour along the Nagold, Enz, and Neckar rivers. A great route today, on the best asphalt, through the beautiful Nagold Valley. The weather was also quite decent. Near Bad Liebenzell, it started to rain lightly, prompting us to take a forced break at the bakery for coffee, cocoa, and pastries. Delicious.

The bike path along the Nagold River is a great way to slow down. The scenery is beautiful. The highlight for me today was Hirsau Monastery.
