Short, crisp end-of-year tour that took us from the Oberwald reservoir to an old quarry, which we explored extensively. We continued to the Karl May Cave, which we also paid a visit to. We then went back to the starting point via forest and field paths.

Today we went on Ecki's favorite route. There is a lot to see in and around Oberwald. The "light pictures" were taken in Reichenbach.

Before there are any costs for the inspection and use of the reservoir, we quickly did this tour.

The paths were easy to walk on in the morning because it was still quite fresh and some of them were frozen.
The main paths were freely accessible, the fallen trees were along the way. It still smelled wonderfully of wood.

You have to make the most of this beautiful Sunday. The circular route is well signposted and a wonderful walk. Great viewpoints, plenty of rest areas and easy paths. What more could you want...

Before it gets cozy and high in calories again in the afternoon, a little exercise 🙃
Even if there is no more snow this WE, you will find a Christmas mood. Nice.

A wonderful walk through the autumn forest in glorious weather. Lots going on today, lots of mushroom pickers, cyclists... The route is also suitable for a bike tour. There was even a horse-drawn carriage with 3 (!!) horses on the way. We were not allowed to take the path directly by the Oberwald reservoir because the rear entrance is only …

The nice weather ☀️ today was used for a hike. There is a great parking lot at the reservoir, day ticket € 2. The paths are very easy to walk on, are signposted and there are a number of benches and resting places. Some byways are because of. Forest work disheveled and impassable, but where not.
At the end of …

A wonderful hike with 3 kids and a dog. At the cave you can cool off your feet in the cool stream and there are opportunities to rest along the way. For the cave you need a good flashlight.
