Over the Urlaine Bridge to the Katzensteg, along the field path, then to the Asamklamm Gorge, with a magnificent view of the gorge. Beautiful in winter.

Departure in pouring rain... but when 👼hiking... directly on arrival at the parking lot it was only dripping a little from the trees.

Yesterday, when I saw the mountains, I was very much intimidated by the amount of snow seeing from a distance. I was quite skeptical of pushing my plan because given that I will be hiking alone and I did not have any idea as to how deep the snow would be at the top. But then again, I would really …
I couldn't miss a small but nice tour on Sunday in this weather 💛 So I went up the Osterfeuerköpfl again. What can I say? Simply wonderful to watch the sun slowly set with coffee on the mountain and at the cross! I hope you all enjoyed the good weather too 😊

We took a short vacation and again made the most of the day. We started in Eschenlohe and hiked up a beautiful, serpentine root path. At Osterfeuerköpfl you have a beautiful view of the Zugspitze and the Murnauer Moos. And pure sunshine ☀️

It was actually supposed to be a snowshoe tour, but unfortunately spring has already arrived in the Allgäu. That's how it went today with @Tanja Alpenzauber towards Garmisch.
Parked behind Eschenlohe for a day ticket €5.
Then a beautiful serpentine root path up to the Easter fire head.🌞
At the summit cross we had included a fantastic view of the …

The trail climbs steadily from the beginning. There are also some pleasant, gentle climbs.
There's plenty of scree, forest floor, narrow paths, and many rooty sections.
The same route then descends again.
Personally, I find going downhill increasingly difficult.

The wonderful Asamklamm Gorge is also nearby from the parking lot (just a quick tip).

Parking costs €5

Ideal small late autumn midday tour. Even a black woodpecker frolics up there (although it was too fast for my camera!).

Showing Translation

The Osterfeuerkopf is a 1368 meter high mountain. The signposted ascent from the parking lot at the end of Walchenseestraße in Eschenlohe takes about two hours and leads exclusively through forest. Partially steep and many roots.
Only at the summit do you have a beautiful view into the Murnauer Moos and towards the Zugspitze with the towns of Eschenlohe, Oberau …
