Kaiserlift Kufstein Valley Station

Highlight • Structure

Do you want to go high? With the Kaiserlift from Kufstein you can relax and gondola up to around 1,200 meters. Once at the top, grandiose views and several kilometers of hiking trails await you. The fantastic mountain panorama is best enjoyed on the terrace of a traditional mountain hut. The Kaiserlift is the perfect starting point for a wonderful day in the Kaiser Mountains. You can find all information about the lift operation here: naturerlebnis-kaisergebirge.at/de/sommer-bergbahnen/kaiserlift-kufstein.html.

Those who do without the Kaiserlift and tackle the ascent or descent on foot will be rewarded with a beautiful view of Kufstein on the former ski slope above the valley station. A few meters further, past the houses, directly at the fields near the valley station, the fortress town also presents itself from its most beautiful side.

Marienkapelle with a top view of Kufstein

Highlight • Religious Site

The Marienkapelle below the Duxer Köpfl is a beautiful resting place and vantage point with a view of Kufstein and the Inn Valley. The bee and insect themed trail, which was newly created in 2021 and ends at the Duxer Alm, also begins at this mystical place of power.

Along the Hochwandweg there is the option of taking a short climb up to the List Monument. From there you have a wonderful view over Kufstein - partly also of the Kufstein Fortress. The little detour is worthwhile in every respect.

August 26, 2025,Elfenhain und Hinterdux
A shady hike uphill along root paths to Hinterdux. Via the Elfenhain (Elfen Grove), the hike then descends over hill and dale and roots back to the starting point, the Motorikpark (Motor Skills Park). Parking is free for 2 hours. Thanks to the short (free) parking period, I had to forego the Duxeralm.
