Whisky Krüger Museum & Garden

Highlight • Monument

Thomas Krüger's whiskey collection is a whiskey collection that reflects the variety of brands, the wealth of variants and the advertising strategies of Scottish and German whiskey companies in recent decades.
Thomas Krüger started his collection in 1974 with a miniature (mini bottle) from the Vat69 brand. Today the collection includes 7,132 whiskey minis, 487 of which were produced before 1945.
In 1990 the large bottles were added, which form a valuable core of the collection, especially as Scottish distillery bottlings from the 1970s and 80s in a wide variety of packaging variants, such as gift boxes, cardboard and wooden boxes. There were also original whiskey cases and wooden crates (mostly for 12 bottles) made for export in the 1950s & 60s.
German whiskeys & whiskeys from all over the world are another focus of the collection. Thomas Krüger passionately collects whiskey advertising figures made of rubber or plastic, mostly from the 1950s, which round off the unique collection.
