June 15, 2022,Pröller Runde und Abstecher zum Gipfel von Sankt Englmar
The first 2 km are along a busy road. But then the birds set the tone again.
There are many small plaques along the way, mostly dealing with the transience of life. It should be a reminder to enjoy the moment.
From km 6.6 it is worth leaving the official circular route to get onto a picturesque forest path. Then …

From the spacious car park, you always take path number four, first up and then around the Proeller. On the way to the summit you will pass many lovingly sawn wooden figures/cairns, and the entire path is adorned with small poems, sayings and wisdom that make you think and smile. The Räuber Heigl cave invites you to scramble. Very varied …

Very nice hiking trail with a great view. Very well signposted (hiking trail no. 4). The highlight is of course the ascent to the summit (up there you pass a cave and the spring - both a detour worth seeing and worthwhile). During the hike, many small signs with sayings are attached to the trees and various sculptures also invite …

September 21, 2023,Pröller-Rundweg und Gipfel
Today in the best hiking weather up to the Pröller. We started from the Markbuchen hiking car park. Then walked the Pröllerrundweg. The path is very beautiful, goes a lot through the forest. The gradients are also moderate. At the Berggasthof Hinterwies you have a nice place to stop for a break. (Since it was too early for lunch for …

September 6, 2022,Auf und um den Pröller
Due to my "encounter" with the Corona witch, we had to change our hiking program.
Instead of a daily stage on the Goldsteig, we took an easier circular route around the Proeller today. The Proeller is the local mountain of Sankt Englmar, is 1048m high and offers an impressive view of the Bayerwald main ridge to the Großer Arber from …

Today the tour to the 4th thousand meter peak, the Pröller.
A circular route with an ascent to the 1048 meter high summit cross of the Pröller.
On the way you pass the former home of the robber Heigl, who chose a rock cave as his hideout.
On the entire circular route you will be well entertained with sayings, life …

Actually, I wanted to do three summits. Unfortunately it started raining in Hinterwies so I had to skip the last summit. But a repetition follows 😉🤗👍🍁🍁

Beautiful circular hike over the Pröller summit, mostly on forest paths or idyllic trails through a dreamy winter landscape with little difference in altitude on ascents and descents. The beautiful view under blue skies of the nearby (Kollnburg) and further surroundings (the peaks of the Bavarian Forest) was severely limited by thick fog.
