Regulice Spring

Highlight • River

It is crystal clear and beautifully situated. The Triassic spring in Regulice flows from the deep underground Triassic limestone rocks and dolomites. It has a perfect flavor and a constant temperature! Regardless of the weather and season, it is 9.2 degrees C. It is located at ul. John Paul II and is not the only one. There are several sources at this point. Thanks to them, it was possible to build a sawmill and two mills on the Regulka river, which operated here already in the 16th century. Relics of one of them have survived to this day.
Due to the excellent quality of the spring, plans appeared in 1883 to use its water to supply Krakow's water supply. An additional attraction is the several-meter-high retaining wall under the railway track made of stone from the local quarry that no longer exists. The wall was erected in this place in the years 1897-1899 during the construction of the section of the railway running from Spytkowice through Skawka, Alwernia and Regulice to Trzebinia.
