The bridge is located over the Łuczański Canal in Giżycko and is entered in the register of immovable monuments. It was built in 1898 to provide access from Giżycko to the Boyen Fortress. It is over 20 meters long and 8 meters wide and is opened 12 times a day: 6 times for water traffic and 6 times for road traffic. Teutonic Castle in Giżycko

The original castle was build at this place by the knight order "Deutscher Orden" who conquered the land south of baltic sea in 13th century. It's purpose was to secure the area against the hostile Lithuanians. In 16th century it was remodeled in the style of renaissance and got it's current appearence. Now it houses an hotel.
