Corral d'en Forn

Highlight • Historical Site

Corral d'en Forn is a 17th and 18th century farmhouse, located on the south-western slope of Turó de ca l'Amar. Architecturally, it is not one of the most outstanding farmhouses, but, located at an altitude of about 400 meters, it was one of the benchmarks for the mountain lifestyle.

In this farmhouse, the Forn de Torrentbó family had the herd, hence the name Corral d'en Forn. In addition to the corral, there were crops, such as the vineyard, which could be grown at this height because it was on the sunny side.

Creu de Rupit

Highlight • Monument

Contrary to what is believed, the place name of the Cruz de Rupit refers to a crossroads. It is an old word, similar to others in the Maresme area: Collsacreu, Creueta, Creu de Canet. They all refer to points where paths are created.

Geographically, the Rupit Cross is the neck that separates the basins of the rivers of Sobirans and Canyamars, an important crossroads that lead to different parts of the Vallès and the Maresme. In addition, at this point in Rupit there has always been a cross; It is an emblematic element that constitutes a milestone in the landscape of the Rupit environment.

The landscape here combines open spaces, such as the Rupit plain, with spaces with dense forests of pines, oaks and cork oaks.

Font de la Figuerassa

Highlight • Natural Monument

The Figuerassa spring (nopal in Spanish) is in an ideal corner to take a break and take the opportunity to eat some manduca, although, in the spring and summer, the mosquitoes can become very annoying. This spring usually flows, although, like all natural springs, it has no health guarantee.

Around the fountain we find bananas that, together with the large fern that is also planted there and is already living its last years, bring shade and freshness to the place. In addition, above the fountain, among the oaks of the oak grove, you will be able to see some other large-leaved oak.
