There are some beautiful views when you come out of the Viernheim forest near Hüttenfeld.
As you continue, you will see ever new views of the Bergstrasse, the towns in front of it such as Weinheim, Hemsbach and Heppenheim and the many castles on the heights of the Bergstrasse.

Rennhof Castle is located in the Hüttenfeld district of Lampertheim and houses the Lithuanian Gymnasium.

Rennhof Castle was built in the Empire style by the Frankfurt Baron Mayer Carl von Rothschild by the end of 1853. In 1889 it became the property of the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg family, and in 1917 it became the property of the Worms industrial family of Baron von Heyl zu Herrnsheim.

In 1953 the castle became the property of the Lithuanian Central Committee of Germany. Since 1954 the committee has operated the Lithuanian Gymnasium in the castle. The castle is also the central office of the Lithuanians in Germany.

In 1984 the building was badly damaged in a fire and its exterior was restored true to the original.
