Margate Steps

These curved steps are a great spot to stop and soak up the atmosphere of Margate main sands, especially at sunset. There are plenty of cafes and bars to get snacks to consume on the steps.

They form part of the Margate Flood & Coastal Protection Scheme. The design was inspired by artist Christopher Tipping who conceived them and deliver them with the team responsible for the scheme.
