The long slog to the top of the mountain warms you up on a cold (0°C) clear & bright day and then the action begins. This time I added the Black Route which branches off from the red. Sadly, recent forestry work has cut down ALL the trees in the superb "Dave the Fox", which means you are now zig-zagging …

Two hours in, the heavens opened up and drowned us with ridiculous rain and hailstone even. Such a good day though!
A Trail Centre unlike many, in that it is more about fast flowing trails without many really tricky technical 'pick your way through' complicated obstructions, roots can be counted on one hand.

Llandegla's trails have a stoney, hard, well drained surface suitable for use all year round. The first three miles is a bit of an uphill slog to the top of the mountain from where the blue & red/black waymarked trails start. The payback is that the trails are fundamentally downhill.
