Gors Fawr Stone Circle

Approximately 130 meters northeast of 'Gors Fawr' stand the menhir pair 'Mynachlog-ddu' Stones. Both stones are almost 2.0 meters high and stand about 8 meters apart. One is popularly called the 'Dreaming Stone'.

Waun Mawn Standing Stones

Waun Mawn (Welsh for "Peat moor") is the location of a possible dismantled Neolithic stone circle. The diameter of the circle is suggested to be 110m. This would make it Britains third largest stone circle.

Rhos Fach Standing Stones

Ancient and modern: Near the car park you will find two modern stones. They are much more obvious than the actual Rhos Fach stones, standing on common land on either side of the road.

The stone on the right was airlifted down from Carn Meini in 1989 to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The stone on the left is a memorial to Waldo Williams. The ancient Rhos Fach standing stones are about 100 metres to the North behind a lot of gorse.
