Charmouth Beach

Highlight • Historical Site

Charmouth Beach is one of the best places in the UK to hunt for fossils. Thousands of Jurassic fossils have been deposited on the beach as a result of rapid erosion.

Important⚠️!! You are not allowed to be on some parts of the beach at high tide, as there is a risk of being trapped or the beach could flood.
The tide table is available in the visitor center and you can also find out the best time of day to search there.

We had fun, the beach is very beautiful and we found something 😉

Charmouth Seafront Café

Highlight • Beach

Simple cafe with everything a cyclist or walker needs to refuel. Most hot drinks ring in at £2-3 with a large selection for f ‘homemade’ cakes, biscuits and slices to choose from. Seating inside and out enough for the club run. Also you can hunt for real fossils on the beach or see the Heritage Coast Centre to discover more.
