This is an open moorland trail - sometimes rocky, sometimes muddy, but mainly grassy. Its a good way to cut down on tarmac time amidst stunning scenery

Mastiles Lane

Highlight • Trail

Mastiles Lane links Malham Tarn and Kilnsey across the moor tops and is a good link between many of the other trails in the area. Having been a transport route since Roman times and subsequently an important drovers road, its has a good, solid (but sometimes rocky) surface so is a good option for year round riding

Mastiles Lane

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

Ancient Road that goes from Kilnsey to Malham tarn. This starts off steady but really cranks up the gradient as you get closer to the summit. A good challenge for many cyclists.
