NCN Route 55: Red Rock to Adlington

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A gentle climb up from Red Rock to Adlington with a steep, rocky descent at the Adlington side (or climb if you start here). Was quite boggy and muddy today after yesterday's rain. Probably not best for gravel or road bikes but quite doable on MTBs.

Adlington side has a small flight of stairs leading up to the canal towpath, but the route leads you out under the canal along the banks of the River Douglas.
