Panoramic View of Llanwonno Forest

Highlight • Viewpoint

A very special place, a spectacular forest views. On a blue sky day the contrast in colour between sky and forest give me such a sense of peace, a great place to pause, and think. Access on foot or off-road bike is required.

Stunning views of St. Gwynno forest open up on the left as you ascend a gravel double track road. Toward the end of the climb there is a small hollowed out quarried area on your right, be sure to stop here and soak up the views ... enjoy

Llanwonno Forest Trail

Highlight • Forest

Oh if I'd had more time I would have carried on and ridden across and over to The Rhigos and down into Glyncorrwg on the National Cycle Network route. That's for next time then.

Stunning panoramic viewpoint - from the tops above Bike Park Wales on the far right, through the Pen-Y-Fan central Beacons massive immediately ahead, then all the Fan's across to the Dan Yr Ogof showcases. On a clear crisp day, when the tops are snow capped, there is no better view point of the Beacons so close to Cardiff.
