Penally War Memorial

Highlight • Monument

The war memorial to the fallen of Penally Village in both World Wars takes the form of a granite block, set in a memorial garden, with a marble plaque with the names of the fallen. There are older plaques in the church that commemorate the fallen of the Great War and also the two sons of Lord St. David's who fell.

St Nicholas & St Teilo Church, Penally

Highlight • Religious Site

The local parish church is dedicated to St Nicholas & St Teilo. It was originally called St Nicholas, but that was changed in the late 19th century. It is suggested that Penally was the birthplace of St Teilo, a Christian leader in the 6th century. The church houses the Celtic Cross of Penally which was originally in the churchyard but has since been restored and moved to the church.

Tenby Harbour

Highlight • Beach

Tenby is one of the most brightly shining jewels in Pembrokeshire's crown.

Bright and pastel-coloured townhouses and cottages line the coast road to the east, overlooking a golden sandy beach and quaint harbour.

The castle is prominent on the headland beyond the more modern houses, and the 13th-century medieval town walls, including the Five Arches barbican gatehouse, can still be easily seen.

If you're visiting Pembrokeshire, a trip to Tenby is a must.

The foundation stone of this church was laid on August 6, 1867 and twelve months later the church was opened for worship services. The original building included a sacristy and facilities, the tower and spire with the clock were added in 1908. Designed to meet the needs of the congregation at the time it provided a sanctuary for the proclamation of the Gospel to the community in worship services and music.
The high gabled ceiling is supported by antique cast iron twisted pillars with gold leaf.
