Without doubt this is the wettest I've ever been, short of being in the bath or swimming!

Still, it's only water, and it puts other people off going out, so you get a lot of the scenery all to yourself! It also helps to have an Alnwick lamb pasty and a massive slice of Caramel shortcrust to shovel down yourself …
