The Puez-Geisler Nature Park stretches from Val Gardena into the Villnos Valley until Alta Badia. It is an average of about 2,500 meters high, which is why you run here through a very special nature. It is also extraordinary that all kinds of rocks can be found in the nature park that exist throughout the Dolomites. Apart from these facts, it is just beautiful here. :)

Adolf Munkel Memorial Plaque

Highlight • Monument

A huge boulder with a plaque commemorating Adolf Munkel, to whom this beautiful trail is dedicated. Here you are right at the foot of the Geißlerspitzen!
A little further away (on the path to the Glatsch-Alm) there is a bench where you can relax and enjoy this beautiful view again.
The text of the commemorative plaque reads: "This path, built in 1905 by the Dresden section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club, was called Adolf-Munkel-Weg. In grateful memory of its founder, who died on January 14, 1904, and faithful chairman during the years 1873 - 1903. "

Beautiful round at the Geisler peaks. Paths are easy to walk. Stop at the great Geisler Alm. The food was very tasty and recommended.

I didn't take a walk on Lake Carezza because the photos at the lake aren't really spectacular 😉 I was perfectly lucky with the weather and the reflection is awesome 🥰 I love it 😁
Afterwards we continued to the Geisleralm, not a big challenge, but you start to sweat 😅 all the more time to concentrate on the landscape, …

Hike starting behind St. Magdalena (birthplace of Reinold Messmer) in Eggental. Circular hike on parts of the Adolf-Munkel-Weg with great views of the three-thousanders of the rock formation of the Latemar basin in the Dolomites. Stop at the Geisleralm hut. Highest point of the tour 2038m.

The Adolf Munkel Trail is an absolute highlight in the Brixen region!

Getting to the Zanser Alm and the parking lot is as straightforward as ever. A little tip: you can reserve the parking space online in advance, so you have a chance of getting to the parking lot even when the traffic lights in Ranui are RED.

So, everyone on the internet says that you have to see it! That's right, if you really want to hike you should go during the week and not on a weekend or public holiday. The path is very busy then! And the upper hut is packed. I'll be honest... next time I'll take a different route to see the Geisler …
