Würzbach Spring

Highlight • Natural Monument

Absolutely delicious and-at least-edible water for me. From surrounding villages will be bottled here. Perfect if you run out of water on the way.

The Waldhexe is one of the more rustic dining establishments at the Zordel fish farm. Closed on August 14, 2021. The Eyachbrücke S-Bahn station is not far from here. From there, you can take the S6 to Pforzheim every hour (the same train then continues as the S5 to Karlsruhe and then further into the Palatinate region).
Still closed in April 2025. Instead, vending machines are now located at the entrance. They sell products from the Zordel fish farm and ice cream. At least there are still seating areas for a rest, some of which are sheltered.

Zordel Fish Farm Vending Machine

Highlight • Structure

You can turn off the Enztal cycle path here into the Eyachtal. To the Eyachtalmühle about 6 km at 120 m. Great RR track!

Neuenbürg Old Town

Highlight • Settlement

Neuchâtel unfortunately only offers a few pretty spots. Passing through with RR is not recommended due to poor pavement.

Nagold Valley Cycle Path by the Enz River

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A section of the Enz Valley Cycle Path. Compared to the country road, it goes up and down again and again and you gain more altitude, but it is practically traffic-free here. Only between Calmbach and Höfen is there rarely a car on the road. The surface is also the worst there - with pretty deep potholes and rough spots - after that it becomes much smoother.
The path goes partly through the shady forest and along the S-Bahn tracks, which you also cross. Often in view: the Enz. Before the turnoff to the Eyachtal there is also a wooden well that actually has water all year round

Würzbachtal Road Cycling Route

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A great racing bike route through the middle of the forest - whether uphill or downhill. There is a well about the middle of this section where you can fill up your bottles. If you are in the mood for other soft drinks, you can also stop off at the Calmbach trout farm, which is located at the lower end of the descent. There are also delicious Black Forest trout from the grill, in case your energy stores are empty. You can find the opening times here: forellenzucht-calmbach.de
