There are small islands in the southern part of the basin. On the south-west bank there is the village of Wiartel, and on the south-east bank, there is Wiartel Mały.
Lake area 178.60 ha, maximum depth 29.00 m (average 4.50 m), length 3.91 km, width 0.79 km.
The lake has a very varied shoreline. It is divided into two bodies of water - southern and northern (Przylasek). Two streams flow out of the lake. One, called the Wiartel Channel, flows into Lake Brzozolasek. The second - Wiartelnica flows into Lake Nidzkie in the south-western part.
The waters of the lake abound in various species of fish, including: eels, pike, bream, silver carp, catfish.

Ruciane-Nida, the exit to the bridge from a solid hill behind the bend ended with a barrier across the bicycle path (last photo). Well, to say that this is a good braking test is an understatement
