Memorial / War Memorial Germania- Dalheim 🚴♂️

Among the heart of the community is the "Freier Platz" (Free Square) with the Germania Memorial, the fountain, and the historic Protestant church in the center of the village, which has existed since the early Middle Ages and was dedicated to St. George around 1550 during the Reformation.
The Germania statue on the war memorial from 1870/71 was built in 1884 according to the specifications of the sculptor Gustav Eberlein and is one of the most beautiful and interesting monuments in Rhein-Selz. In June 2015, lightning struck the old oak tree, destroying it with falling branches. After restoration, it has been shining in new splendor since the 1250th anniversary celebrations (June 2-4, 2017). 🚴♂️
