Wooden sculptures at Lake Bergwitz

Highlight • Monument

Riding a bike, jumping into the lake, but no bathing suits with me. This happens to many people, but it's not a problem on this stretch of beach. Wood art cheers the mind.

A very beautiful lake with several lovely sandy loungers. There's also a nice bistro for small snacks. The chip shop is highly recommended. ;)

The bridge over the Elbe is the only one nearby and is shared by cars, cyclists and pedestrians. The view of the Elbe and Wittenberg is fantastic.

Sunny trip to Wittenberg! City tour with the little train and tower climb included. Another tasty snack at the Asian restaurant and back to the campsite at Bergwitzsee!🚲 🚲 😎

Our program was:
- Visit to the
Luther Panorama
- 1.5-hour city tour of Wittenberg
There is a lot to learn about the city and its famous scholars. We also visited Philip Melanchthon's house, Lucas Cranach's place of work, the place where he painted Luther and the mother church of the Reformation.
Wittenberg is worth a visit!

Excellent paved bike paths. A lot of fun by bike, but pretty boring on foot.

Finally we went to Bergwitzsee again. As you can see, there is water everywhere (Elbe, fields and meadows). A few more snapshots from last Christmas along the way.
Happy and healthy New Year everyone!!!

Nice route. A bit of everything. From the Hoffmannshöhe you have a good view of the Bergwitzsee. The last part was a bit strenuous because the temperature rose above 30° C. Otherwise it was a good ride.

Went to Bergwitz again in the most glorious spring weather. Pure sunshine and hardly any wind. What more do you want !!!

It's Sunday and the weather is nice. So I hop on my bike and go for a ride. Since I haven't been to Bergwitzsee for a while, I decided to go to Bergwitz again. It was definitely worth it. This was the first ride this year and it was really fun.
