This trail combines the scenic and winding sections of the Himmelsleiterweg (Heaven's Ladder Trail) and the Katharinaweg (St. Catherine's Trail) in the lower Brohl and Rhine valleys. The connecting paths between the two trails follow sections of the Quellenweg (Springs Trail) in Bad Breisig.

A varied tour by @Eifelbomber - not much new for me but very nicely put together. My companions were enthusiastic and even though it was rather cloudy, we really enjoyed this day of hiking. 🤩

The round is really very beautiful, but also very strenuous. I reached my limits twice, not just physically. Only partially recommended for people with a fear of heights. Surefootedness is a prerequisite! Otherwise a top tour with many highlights and very varied. Views, wonderful nature, peace and a great volcano nature trail ❤️

The start and finish is at the Brohl-Rheinanlagen car park ... from there it goes mostly steeply uphill via the Katharinaweg to the Rheinblick refuge, then continue over the donkey stairs to the Dickberg vantage point, which offers fantastic views of the Rhine Valley ... the dreamlike path up is an absolute highlight. Arriving at the top, it goes to …

Accidentally deleted my recorded route 😬. And Komoot has no way to recover that!?
Often narrow and rocky, almost alpine trails. Stay up on the way back in Brohl; the descent to the Rhine, although signposted, isn't worth it.

Nice stop at the "Lucencia" restaurant in Niederlützingen; limited selection, but excellent cake with coffee! 🤗

Up, down, up, down... and always something different to see. A varied route with beautiful views and informative information boards.

A very beautiful trail, offering a wide variety of nature and a challenging climb. It includes two challenging climbs, each rewarded with a wonderful view. There are perfect rest stops along the way just before and after the quarry. A little later, in the wooded area toward the end of the trail, you can also take a break. During the …
