May 13, 2026,🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Isle of Mull: Toberary and the "Rubha nan Gall" Lighthouse🗼🍧
Isle of Mull is of volcanic origin, belongs to the so-called Inner Hebrides and has many faces: In the west, it shows breathtaking cliffs broken by deep lochs where eagles and otters frolic. Inland, green mountains rise, immediately reminiscent of the Highlands. The east, along the strait, is flatter, the land appears more cultivated with more forest.

A beautiful path, mostly shaded, and oysterbirds nested on the shore near the lighthouse in May.
Sturdy footwear is essential in wet conditions.

No. 31 of my #100komootwanders_2022 challenge. 💛

An easy and straightforward short walk that follows an excellent path through the woods from Tobermory out to the picturesque lighthouse at Rubha nan Gall.
There are great views the entire route, over the water to Ardnamurchan.
Today's itinerary included a shorter, but all the more beautiful, hike on the Isle of Mull from Tobermory to the Rubha nan Gall Lighthouse.

While the sky was still raining heavily on the ferry and bus, we were actually able to enjoy the hike in the dry and sunny weather.

Great tour to the lighthouse, unfortunately a couple of problems in the tour profile due to GPS dropouts.

A lovely walk along the coast to a picturesque lighthouse. The return journey took us past a golf course.
