It is the choir of the old parish church deconsecrated in 1832. Built around 1500 by the monks of the Bourget priory, lords of the place, it was a monastic church. The wall separating the choir from the nave, pierced with holes that are still visible, bears witness to this. The nave razed, the choir was restored in 1854 on the initiative of priest Perrier. Between 1885 and 1890, priest Rosset had the stained glass windows installed.

In the nearby picnic area we can see the remains of a building. It served as a refuge for the monks of Le Bourget during times of war or epidemic. Stones from this building can be found in the houses of the village. They bear witness to the Renaissance style of this construction.

Visible from afar, the Notre-Dame-de-l'Etoile Chapel attracts many visitors. Here they enjoy a remarkable view of Lake Bourget and the surrounding mountains.

Nice first part overlooking the lake before climbing very steeply on the mountainside on an unmarked path to reach the chapel of Mont du chat. The rest of the hike in the forest to the col du chat is very pleasant.
