Lake Saint-Guérin

Highlight • Lake

Lac de Saint-Guérin was built in 1961 as part of a hydroelectric complex, which also includes nearby Lac de Roselend and Lac de la Gittaz.

The car parking around the north-western edge of the lake is a great place to access many different trail running Tours in the area.

There's a buvette selling drinks and snacks between June and September and also a public toilet on the lake shore.

Cormet d'Arêches

Highlight • Mountain Pass

This wild col opens out at the top of a winding, unsurfaced road at an altitude of 2,107 metres (6,913 ft). The views are spectacular, especially south-west towards the high Vanoise, snow-capped all year round.

Enjoyable running trails stretch in every direction, calling out to be explored: down to Lac du Saint-Guerin, past the Croix du Berger towards Mont Coin, up to the Cret du Boeuf, or through the valley to Granier.

Gravel path with a good difference in altitude and rather technical terrain. I had a 38 at the front and 51 at the back. Of course we did 4000 m D+ in two days, and I admit that the development was sufficient. A very beautiful view awaits you up there.
