The "downhill" starts at the church in Amden.
Highlight • Trail
A parish register of the diocese of Chur names a people priest in the 13th century and a church of St. Mary in 1321, also subordinate to the noble ladies of Schänis. In the 15th century a larger church was built and dedicated to St. Gallus entrusted as patron. In 1794, the Gallus Church was given its current size. After further renovations in 1853 and 1923, an extensive restoration was carried out from 1984 to 1986, which gave the church the shape that is still valid today.
