You can watch ships passing the lock. Its nice to bike the Southside of the Danube until Mauthausen and there to take the small ferry to again cross to the Northside. BUT watch out the times, when the ferry is running! Only in summer.

From the Danube Cycle Path, an impressive view opens up of the Linz Industrial Park – one of Austria's most important industrial areas and a key economic driver for the city of Linz.
