The beautiful silhouette of the village is characterized by the uniform farmhouses with their roof ridges running parallel to the hills. The neighboring communities are Aarberg, Bargen in the south, Hermrigen, Merzligen, Kappelen in the east, Epsach in the north and Täuffelen, Hagneck in the west. The ensemble with church, rectory and granary lies on the southern edge of the slope above the former vineyard. The church is a simple hall building, probably from the 15th century.
