We recommend sturdy shoes as the path is not developed and is very stony. Sometimes you scramble around on small slopes. The way down is much more strenuous than up. Take enough water with you, there is no bar or kiosk on the beach itself.

The hike, even if only 1.80 km each way, is a little adventure. It leads over fallen trees and through small ravines. But it was great fun despite the heat and the view and the beach are definitely worth walking instead of taking the water taxi.
