Tree-Lined Road from Moor Crichel

Highlight • Cycleway

This is a stunning, almost art row of trees, quiet road and not too steep if you are going up. Links to many quiet back roads.

Ashmore Village and Pond

Highlight • Settlement

A central pond, thatched cottages and a sense of peace, Ashmore is a wonderfully pretty village to pedal through. It's actually the highest in Dorset – too high for time to have caught up with it, as it rather feels like stepping into history.

Child Okeford Village

Highlight • Pub

pretty village of Childe Okeford. a good pub, village store and church. You can do a walk from here to the top of Hambledon Hill Iron Age Fort with some of the greatest views in Dorset into Wiltshire.

Okeford Hill Viewpoint

Highlight • Viewpoint

A leg-burning and lung-bustlingly steep climb but totally worth it for the view. There's a beacon up here worth looking out for as it was used during the Spanish Armada. It's on the righthand side of the road if you're coming from Blandford.

From this beautiful multi-arched stone bridge, you can enjoy views of the River Stour as it flows through Blandford Forum. The only downside is that it has a sidewalk on only one side.
