Njupeskär Waterfall and Njupån Stream

Highlight (Segment) • Waterfall

In the middle of Fulufjäll National Park lies Sweden's highest waterfall, Njupeskär. There is no road leading there, and no tourist buses bring the masses there. Only those who undertake a short hike can observe this natural spectacle in all seasons. On the way between the visitor center and the waterfall, you pass a small rest hut from which you can already see the waterfall. In winter, it freezes over completely and sometimes you can even see ice climbers.

August 11, 2025,Njupeskärsslingan Wasserfall Tour — von Mörkrets Camping
From the Mörkrets campsite, we walked a bit along the road.
Then we turned right into the forest, following a partially muddy path uphill to the actual starting point of the hike.
Here, there was a small restaurant with a souvenir shop and a Naturum museum.
