Cellardyke War Memorial

Highlight • Monument

Located on road to Caravan Park if travelling east. Stands atop a hill Unveiled and dedicated 12/03/1922. Designed by Alexander Murdoch. Originally meant for Kilrenny but felt as the majority of those who died came from Cellardyke community, positioned at Cellardyke instead. Column topped by a sphere set on an elaborate plinth with column like corners supporting stone lion figures between lists of names..Below, on each side are reliefs including a soldier, sailors and crossed swords behind a wreath. Memorial sits on 3 tiered base in a plot surrounded bu iron railings.

St Adrian's Cave and Rock Arches, Fife Coastal Path

Highlight • Cave

These shallow caves and limestone arches along the Fife coastal trail are a must visit if you're passing by. It's said that one of these caves housed St Adrian, and you can see many crosses carved into the rock inside. He was later killed by invading Danes in 875 AD.

These caves were formed by erosion from the sea before the land level was changed and you can now see them raised to their current elevated height.

Crail: Tolbooth and Town Hall

Highlight • Monument

Parts of Crail’s Tolbooth and Town Hall building date back to the late 16th century. It is nowadays A-listed and used for various events. It can be found at the junction of Marketgate.

Crail Harbour

Highlight • Viewpoint

Crail has been a market town since permission was granted for the market in 1178. The harbour has always been used but the present stone harbour defence was first built in 1610. The current west pier was built in 1828 and includes unusual vertical coursing of the stonework.
Today it's a popular and pretty seaside town with great coastal walking in both directions.
