Højby Church

A 12th-century granite church whose late Gothic wall paintings are considered among the finest in Denmark. Discovered in 1901 and restored several times, they depict the Day of Judgment, Christ, an archangel playing a bassoon, and St Michael, with a previously hidden scene of Erasmus' martyrdom revealed only during the last restoration in 2007.
