We wanted a ride to zell am see but with a mountain ride. ManManMan. Did we seriously underestimate this! You just have to hike part of the top with your mountain bike Or you are super cool that you can cycle up there. FRUSTATION everywhere, emotions left behind on the mountain... ☺️😒Then the good weather turned into a possible thunderstorm …

I actually only wanted to drive to the Hochsonnberghütte. Then I met a nice couple with a dog and they persuaded me to continue to the Hackelberg trail. (It didn't take a lot of persuasion) The trail up to the Hacklbergalm really challenged me. I've pushed my limits hard. But it was nice anyway.

The round trip is definitely recommended uphill from Niedernsill. Then you only have to push the bike for a short stretch to the Kinglertörl. We also pushed part of the descent to the Hackelbergalm (towards Hinterglemm), but only briefly (I'm not a downhiller ;))

Stop at Hackelbergalm, the apple strudel is super good!!!😋
