Ringstead Bay has a pebble and shingle beach with some sand. There are offshore reefs approximately 0.6 kilometres (0.37 mi) in length at the western end opposite the village that are uncovered at low tide. Ringstead Radar Station

Highlight • Monument

former Royal Air Force radar station at Ringstead Bay, Dorset, England. It is notable for having served three separate functions: first as a Chain Home early-warning radar station during WWII and then, during the Cold War, as a Rotor station and then, finally, as a USAF Tropospheric scatter station. The first of these functions commenced in 1942; the last of the functions ceased in 1974. The structural remains were Grade II listed in 2020

White Nothe Cliffs

Highlight • Beach

Another stunning chalk headland to punctuate the stunning scenic running along the Southwest Coast Path. The top is at about 160m above the sea so you get stunning views to Portland in the West and back over Durdle Door to St Alban's Head in the east.
If you fancy a steep path and then a run on the beach take the nearby signed smugglers path that zig zags steeply down to the sea.

Durdle Door and the Coastal Cliffs

Highlight (Segment) • Natural

heading east from Weymouth to Durdle DOOR the last 3-4 cliff hills are horrendous if you are not used to Hiking up stoney mountainside then I would suggest giving it a miss. they are extremely steep, very narrow footpaths and all loose stoney gravel coming down was very dangerous skidding and holding on. which then crucified my knees and hips

Coastguard Cottages at White Nothe

Highlight • Viewpoint

This charming row of houses used to be the residences of the coastguard captain, his team and their families. It's not hard to see why – the location has incredible views across the sea.

Today, they're privately owned, accessible only by farm track and have scant connection to utilities.

Watch your footing as there can be big drops down to the ocean. You may want to keep dogs and children close to you.
