Completed this in August 2021. What a fabulous route. Gentle uphill mostly tarmac and all downhill on the return… bonus!
Didn’t realise we needed to book a distillery tour then refused a whisky because I was a cyclist? Haha.
so settled for a hot chocolate and cake in the cafe at Dalwinnie. Glorious sunshine. Not sure if the route past …

In keeping with the Pitlochry Hydro Hotel where I stayed overnight, it was a pretty wet day. The first part unfortunately follows the motorway, but after an outlet village in what felt like the middle of nowhere, the cycle path becomes pretty awesome.
