Here it passes a shell limestone quarry close to its left, leaves Zwingelhausen on the right and now reaches a forest area in a fairly deep valley again, where the district boundary of the town of Backnang moves to its left bank and sometimes even briefly crosses it. Here, steep slopes line the river halfway up the valley, and sinkholes are often found further up the hill. The stream now briefly enters the Burgstetten area and then flows after about 13 km, about one kilometer northeast of the first valley houses in Burgstetten, at about 221 m above sea level.
