Kreuzbach Suspension Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

The bridge is part of the RheinBurgenWeg from Trechtingshausen to Bingen. It is well maintained and spans a valley of approx. 20 meters deep. The length of the bridge is about 50 meters. A small highlight on the hiking trail.

You are never alone along the Hasselbach. Out of numerous trees, a curious forest ghost observes. There are over 60, including witches, goblins, elves and trolls, the creek leads past almost all of them. Who can find them all?

Very nice interesting varied tour with great views. You need good shoes and you should be free from giddiness, as there are sometimes narrow paths leading to the edge.

Traveled to Assmanshausen today. Moderately strenuous ascent through the gorge on beautiful, wildly romantic nature trails.
Great forest trails. A bit on the Soonwaldsteig down through the Morgenbachtal 🌲🌿🪲🐞 along the Morgenbach, which gives it its name (super nice)
Around the Ohligsberg again up with great views over the Rhine to Reichenstein Castle and towards Assmannshausen.
Stop at the Schweitzer …

Discovered the hike at Komoot, unfortunately I couldn't see who ran it 😔. It is a beautiful and also challenging circular hike with many highlights 😃

-Kreuzbachklamm (sturdy shoes and absolute surefootedness required)
-Steckeschlääfer Klamm (lovingly designed "tree spirits", bridges in very good condition)
-Donkey path (demanding, sure-footedness required)
-Inn "Schweizerhaus" (open on Sundays and public holidays)
-Rheinstein Castle

Super great tour unfortunately the suspension bridge was closed.
Otherwise very nice forest spirits seen a great idea with the wooden ball track. You will be rewarded with great views.

A beautiful and varied tour that is also great to walk with a dog!

Very nice, challenging tour.
For all parents, children also need sturdy shoes and not sandals 😉
In the last section, a group of fallen trees blocks the path.

Today we felt like going to the Bingen Forest. The weather …. cold but ☀️ full. We hiked through the Kreuzbachklamm with a mini via ferrata, through the Steckeschlääferklamm with figure carvings on trees, tree stumps and a wonderful view of the castle when you're at the top 😉. A varied tour with a great view😎. "A little dream"
