The way down from Frankenberg ends at a construction fence, this can be excavated and thus bypassed (just don't know how long, since it is apparently now private property) You can take the signposted panorama path up on Frankenberg, which takes a little longer.

I followed the tour. There were some very nice trails, except for one section where there was no path in sight, and I had to improvise.

A lovely May Day hike with good friends 😎🥳🥂

This time we started at the hiking car park in Weigenheim.

Through wonderful wild garlic gorges we went up to the Hohenlanzberg ruins. On the ridge the path led us to Castle Frankenberg with its ruins of the old castle.

Along the Wein-Paradies-Weg we went back to the parking lot.

It was hot today and the tour was shortened somewhat because a lot of the route was in the sun. All in all, a very nice hike in fantastic weather.

A leisurely Father's Day tour from Frankenberg Castle to the Taubenlochhütte and back with 1 glass of wine (or was it 2) each way.
