The tour takes you through the hilly field, forest and lake landscape to the Bungsberg.
At 168 meters, it is the highest mountain in Schleswig-Holstein. Wide views over the Baltic Sea and the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park, as well as the subsequent "descent into the valley" reward you for your efforts. Back in Eutin, the castle and old town beckon.

I picked up the tour from a brochure in my vacation apartment.
The Bungsberg is the highest elevation in Schleswig-Holstein. The Schwentine River also originates here.
I really liked the Elisabeth Tower with its colorful windows.
Beautiful bike paths through undulating terrain.

We're supposed to go to Bungsberg today. But first I head for St. Mary's Church in Kirchnüchel.
