February 13, 2022,Lahnwanderweg Etappe 13 Aumenau - Weilburg
The most beautiful part of the tour, the rock path on the Lahn in Weilburg, closed wg. Construction work 😔 In addition, you actually have to run the tour the other way around, from Weilburg to Aumenau. Then you have the sun on your face and a tailwind 😂

Finally, the footbridges on the Weilburg Hauseleyfelsen are accessible again. The town of Weilburg has invested a lot to restore this very special hiking trail. Hence this wonderful stage of the Lahn hiking trail today. Lots of nature and peace along the way, with the highlight at the end. It was really worth it.

After arriving at the hotel yesterday, I couldn't resist taking a detour through the beautiful castle grounds. So, my start was very leisurely. After an hour of strolling through the park, we finally set off on our stage. First, we briefly walked along the Lahn River and then up into the mountains. Most of the route then led through the …

Another stage on the Lahn Hiking Trail, and for me personally, the gap between Niederlahnstein and Marburg. Now I have to figure out how to logistically approach the stages between the source of the Lahn and Marburg 😉. I started the day with a guided tour of Weilburg Castle, which can only be viewed from the inside with a guided …

22 km further on the Lahn hiking trail! 🎉 And we've arrived in the hiking year 2025! 🎉 Fortunately, it wasn't the hiker who abandoned the Lahn hiking trail today, but only the track recording on my watch. By combining the GPX files, the information on speed and altitude is now incorrect - so it's not that tragic. 😉

So, that was my seventh stage of the Lahnwanderweg, the area is beautiful, but please don't go yet... paths "really" muddy 😫. Lahn, well, you can see them at the beginning and at the end, you can guess them in the middle (hidden by trees). At the end of the piece before Weilburg (in my opinion it was the most …

We are currently on vacation and want to hike the third section of the Lahnwanderweg from Weilburg to Niederlahnstein. A nice tour with many forest sections, which was pleasant in the heat. It is very dry in the area, nature is suffering, you can see it there it is with us Still green in beautiful Upper Swabia. Only with the …

Today we continue to Weilburg. Sun and a cold, gusty wind.

A great hike along the Lahn River. Then there's a short but steep climb. Continue on good trails.

From km 12 onwards, the GPS leaves a lot to be desired. Furthermore, the trails on Komoot are sometimes inaccurate. Signage is sometimes missing. From km 14 onwards, there's a detour …
